As promised, I’m posting sketches from my little black sketch book, started at the Reuben Awards in Boston in May 2011…This is only the first of several posts containing these little gems! Look on and envy! Ha!
Sergio Aragones was the first to grace my sketch book with his art...We all sat together at breakfast and I just passed my sketch book around the table...
Scott Shaw was another breakfast sketch. He works on various comic projects, including the Simpsons.
Richard Thompson is the creator of the comic strip 'Cul-de-Sac' and just so happens to be this year's Reuben Award winner. I'm pretty stoked to have this one...
Kris Straub is a pretty big deal in the webcomics universe. He's the creator of 'Chainsaw Suit' and 'Starslip Crisis'.
Bill Janocha is a cartoonist and assistant on the Beetle Bailey comic strip. He actually drew three sketches in my book and even asked for me to draw one in his wife's book! That was pretty cool...
